Poetry Reading Response

After listening to your peers present their poetry selections, it is time for you to respond with your own thoughts/feelings/comments. Your response may be open ended, but it should include:
  1. The title of the poem
  2. The author of the poem
  3. Your commentary
Please remember as well that I will only publish comments that are both appropriate and signed with your first name, last initial. Feel free to praise the presenter of the poem that you chose as well!

Title: "The Negro Speaks of Rivers"
Author: Langston Hughes
Comment:
This poem was okay,I guess. It was not as good as i thought it would be though. I guess i was expecting a different reason to go with that story.Kind of like a different meaning to why he wrote it. I think this poem also had some emotion to it. I think that the emotion that was put into that story kind of brought it down a bit.So it would have been much better if it had less emotion and sadness to it. Mr.Langston Hughes should have probally left some of the emotion and sadness out. So other than the sadness it was okay.

Title:The Road Not Taken
Author:Robert Frost

The Author is explaining to us how sometimes in life there is a fork in the road. He is also explaining how sometimes it might be better to take the road less traveled in the long run.
